Growing up

Sydney's birthday was on Thanksgiving this year, she turned 7. Ouch that hurts! She's 7 already. So nick and i told her she could get her ears pierced this year as a gift. Well she could not wait. We made her wait until today because she had a soccer tournament all weekend and she would have to cover her ears if they were pierced. So today after school, my sister Lauren and I took her to the mall to take that next step into the throngs of growing up. And of course I had to document it, what kind of mother would I be if I didn't.

And don't worry I am going to post more pics of this weekend at the soccer tournament when I lost my voice from all the yelling.


Patiently awaiting. Would it suprise you that she picked out the largest diamonds for her first pair of earings. Luckily for me they didn't have them in stock. So she picked the next size down.
Getting her ears marked. How nervous does she look? It didn't help that the men in the store buying rings for their special someones were all watching her.
All marked and ready to go.
1,2, 3 and we're done. They did it at the same time so she wouldn't suffer.
And here she is. The newest girl with bling in her ears. How happy is she? She couldn't stop talking about them all night long.
